Receipt of masks still keep trickling in – Another mask donation from WARAYNON INITIATIVE NETWORK (WIN) was received by the staff of the Kidney Center/OP Dialysis Ctr at Loma Linda University Health in Loma Linda, CA.
Dialysis patients are at a high risk for serious complications, even death, from the corona-virus. However, dialysis patients do not stop their treatments during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Therefore, heightened protection and safety guidelines have to be enforced to protect both the patients and the healthcare personnel.

May 12-13, 2020, Tacloban City, Philippines – As part of its continuing outreach efforts during this pandemic, WARAYNON INITIATIVE NETWORK (WIN) delivers five hundred (500) care meals to the frontline healthcare workers at the Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center (EVRMC) in its Main and Magsaysay locations in Tacloban City, Philippines.
EVRMC is home to the Eastern Visayas Regional COVID-19 Testing Center. Thank you to WIN Board Member Jason Colasito for spearheading this project and to WIN Corporate Auditor Derrick Anido for the oversight of this project on the ground.
Also, our appreciation and thanks goes to Jo’s Milagrina Tacloban (Jess Anido) for the affordable and quality meal packs for this charitable giving event.
In collaboration with the Senior Ministry of the Cathedral Chapel of St. Vibiana (CCSV) and its Pastor, Rev. Truc Nguyen, WARAYNON INITIATIVE NETWORK (WIN) delivers lunch packs to 45 seniors of the parish community to create some semblance of continuity during the stay-at-home directives.
These are senior parishioners who have little or no family support who are usually picked-up and gathered at the parish hall once a month for a Senior Luncheon sponsored by the CCSV Senior Ministry, then brought back home by CCSV volunteers.
The Luncheon Outreach was initially planned for Mother’s Day, but since the seniors’ lunch happens on a Tuesday, what better way to do it today than last Sunday.
Food was from a local restobar, MET HIM AT THE BAR. Thank you to the owners, Vincent and Mindy Kinne, for providing a generous pasta entree portion of linguine alfredo with chicken and a chocolate chip cookie for dessert.
Most of all, thank you from the WIN family for this charitable partnership, for your care and service beyond your business margin. Big thanks to the WIN volunteers and the Delivery Teams – Rev Fr Truc Nguyen Gines and Tess Uy Jiggs and Gina Ibarrola Nancy Sheehan and DoryAnn Lagman Victor and Ryan Benedicto (father and son).
The luncheon outreach won the hearts of the seniors with a smile, a feeling of joy and a happy tummy. Will do it gladly one more time next month! WIN cares for Healthcare – Protective masks donated by Waraynon Initiative Network (WIN) were delivered to the staff of Newport Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Newport Beach, CA.
The mask donation initiative was launched by WIN to respond to the growing need of personal protective equipment for healthcare workers at the forefront of this pandemic.
As a public charity corporation, it is WIN’s philosophy to respond in a limited way to the needs of the community during times of disaster and global crisis, even beyond its defined scope as an organization.
