ConquerWINg COVID-19:

Public Charity Corporation, WARAYNON INITIATIVE NETWORK (WIN), responds to the pandemic.

• The M & M Initiative

To show support for the healthcare frontliners, WIN will be providing MASKS -breathing armors (reusable cloth masks) and surgical face masks where they are allowed to selected hospitals, clinics and nursing homes. For those workplaces strictly enforcing the use of no less than the KN95 mask, we will be providing that as well when the delivery comes. Thank you to Board Member, Jason Colasito, for procuring this scarce commodity.

And in appreciation for their sacrifice and dedication, WIN will have MEALS delivered to different healthcare workplaces located in LA County, Orange County, Riverside County, etc.

WIN also recognizes the commitment and hard work of the postal workers, so meals will be delivered as well to a USPS location in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles as a show of gratitude and appreciation.

• The Senior Ministry Care Meals Initiative

WIN, in partnership with the Cathedral Chapel of St. Vibiana (CCSV) in Los Angeles, will be providing lunch care meals to 30-35 members of the Senior Ministry, one of the most vulnerable groups to this global crisis. These are mostly senior parishioners who have little or no family support that are usually picked-up and brought to the parish hall by church volunteers for a monthly luncheon. Because of the safer at home and social distancing protocols, WIN will be delivering the meals to their homes for the next few months. Thank you to Board Member, Jiggs Ibarrola, Gina Girlie
for taking the lead on this one.

• The Food Bank Initiative

WIN has decided at these trying times to join in the fight against hunger. Two FOOD BANKS have been initially identified and WIN will be donating FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500) to each one to support provision of cooked meals to hundreds of families on a daily basis.

The food banks are managed by these 501c3 organizations as follows.

• Isaiah’s Rock (isaiahsrock.org), Chino, CA

“At Isaiah’s Rock we believe if you have food on your table, there is NO reason why your neighbor should go hungry. It is only because of the collective efforts of all the volunteers and supporters that we are able to serve so many in such a big way.”

• Mary’s Kitchen (maryskitchen.org), Orange, CA

“Helping the Less Fortunate since 1984”
“Feeding an average of 200 people Monday-Saturday”

WE ARE ABLE TO MOVE FORWARD WITH THESE INITIATIVES BECAUSE OF THE UNWAVERING SUPPORT OF OUR PAST AND PRESENT DONORS AND PATRONS. THANK YOU FOR GIVING US HELP EVERYTIME WE ASK!
WE THRIVE BECAUSE OF YOUR DONATIONS.

TOGETHER, WE CAN WIN THIS FIGHT! ❤️
